At the beginning of January 2007 Robert Carlier and Emmy Bezemer started their journey which began in New Zealand. Their long bike ride will eventually end in India, but a large number of other countries will be visited too. Their site www.verslotenzolen.nl is definitely worth while to visit regularly! The stems of our M5 Carbon High Racer are also optimized. The result is an extremely light and telescopic stem of just 107 grammes, which is available in four different angles: 120, 127, 134 en 145 degrees. Blasted with glass pearls, matted black anodised 7020 aluminium. | ||

To provide more space for the right calf of race cyclists the now well known M5 side pull brakes have become even more compact. The outer cable has also a better guidance by arriving at the brake on a ten degrees angle. | ||
Carbon rims further optimized |

There's always a bit of turbulent air current caused by the never optimal connection between rim and tyre. Therefore we made a tiny cut-away directly below the brake surface, which makes the airflow stick more to the rim surface. As shown on the picture we do not need to use transparent coating, thanks to the way we produce the rims. This prevents adding unnecessary weight and gives a very smooth finish. | ||

M5 has developed a new carbon 26 inch monofork for the M5 High Racer and a new (narrow) 20 inch double front fork for the Low Racer! Parallel with the M5 High Racer several other carbon products have been developed (yes, it's been busy in the testlab during the last couple of months!)
